Mmmeditation Chocolate Mousse

by Shaa Taylor on June 19, 2020

This is a gorgeously rich, velvety chocolate mousse & if you didn’t mention it’s actually sugar free, dairy free (& vegan) no one would guess it. It’s guaranteed to win the hearts of all those you offer it to. The peppermint oil soothes digestion, will perk up the taste with its fresh, clean, minty note and combined with Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao, it will help sharpen your meditation focus.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 Large Avocados
  • 200ml Organic Coconut Cream OR ¾ cup green coconut water + ½ cup coconut flesh
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Sugar (Adjust this to your desired sweetness) or you can decrease this amount and add maple syrup instead *
  • 2 tsp Tahini
  • 5 drops Young Living Peppermint Oil
  • 3/4 cup Sacred Earth Medicine Ceremonial Cacao, ground or grated.

Preparation

Blend your avocado till smooth, then add & blend the coconut till smooth & continue in order until all ingredients mix in, creamy and smooth. Serve in small glasses or bowls. Top this delicious chocolate mousse with cacao nibs or chopped nuts. Garnish with fresh mint.

Before consuming toast to “Ix Cacao” the Chocolate Deva, then proceed to eat & melt your heart. Once your heart has thoroughly melted, allow your mmmmmmmm meditation to begin!

* If you want a total sugar free dessert (ie no sucrose & glucose) omit the coconut sugar & add stevia instead.

Our recipe is based on the yumolicious “Secret Choc-Mint Mousse” recipe found in Model Chocolate, p.152.

Whether known or unknown, our ancestral lineage impacts our lives, and taking time to remember where we have come from can allow us a golden opportunity to understand ourselves better.

At Sacred Earth Medicine is all about honouring the earth, we wanted to share with you some inspiring words that can be spoken in your daily cacao ritual

This recipe evolved from our families pancake Sunday ritual. I discovered it and then became obsessed with the delectable combination of our Ceremonial Cacao, the creamy maca spread maple syrup.

We remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter but have denied the celebration and honouring of Mary Magdalene, It is time now to remember the true love story.
